A Janesville man is facing five counts of possession of child pornography after the woman who rents him a room finds pictures of naked children on his phone.
54-year-old Richard Morgan was previously convicted of second-degree sexual assault of a child in 2000.
Morgan made his initial appearance in Rock County County Court last week where cash bond was set at $2,500 on the new charges.
Prosecutors say Morgan admitted to being attracted to 13-year–old girls and told police that he views child pornography in an attempt to control his urge to go hands-on.
Morgan is due back in Rock County Court for an adjourned initial appearance on Friday.
