With the 2024 campaign season heating up, Hedberg Public Library and the Rock County Civics Academy host a discussion on how voters can sift through the deluge of political media and find the truth.
Rich Gruber, a managing partner with the civics academy, said Michael Wagner, a professor of journalism and mass communication at UW-Madison, leads the talk on tools that media consumers can use to distinguish between fact and fiction.
As a representative of the civics academy, Gruber gives a bit of media literacy advice: Seek out as many sources of information as possible. It helps investigate issues from all angles.
