The Janesville Community Center turns to the community to help support its “Walking School Bus” program.
Executive Director Niqi Linneman says a walking school bus is a program that allows a group of children to walk with one or more adults to school.
Linneman says it ran for six weeks last school year for students of Wilson Elementary School.
Linneman says this school year the program is funded through October. They are looking for donations to keep the program running until the end of the school year.
