Man who traveled from Texas to Janesville for sex with teen waives preliminary hearing

The 20-year-old from Texas accused of traveling to Janesville to have sex with a 15-year-old after meeting him in an online “furry” community is bound over for trial

Landon Fisher appeared in Rock County Court Friday morning where he waived his right to a preliminary hearing on charges of second-degree sexual assault of a child and child enticement.

According to the criminal complaint, Janesville Police were dispatched to an apartment building on Randolph Road on the report that a homeless man was living in the basement and was in a romantic relationship with a teenager who lived in the building.

Police spoke with Fisher who admitted to meeting the child online and exchanging nude photos with him when he was 14. Fisher told police he had sex with the boy at a number of Janesville hotels as well as in the basement of the apartment building.

Fisher is currently being held in the Rock County Jail on a $2,500 cash bond.
