The 24-year-old Janesville woman accused of striking and nearly killing a motorcyclist while driving with a suspended license back in April is bound over for trial.
Skyla Richardson appeared in Rock county Court Monday morning where she waived her right to a preliminary hearing on a single charge of knowingly operating a motor vehicle while suspended causing great bodily harm.
According to the criminal complaint, Janesville Police were dispatched to the intersection of East Milwaukee Street and North Pontiac Drive just before 5:00 p.m. on April 13th on the report of a vehicle versus motorcycle crash.
First responders found a motorcycle on its side and a man in the road with good Samaritans providing first aid.
Investigation determined that that motorcyclist was head east on Milwaukee Street when Richardson turned in front of him while trying to pull into Kwik Trip. The motorcyclist tried to break but he struck Richardson’s SUV and was thrown over the hood.
