A 39-year-old Janesville woman accused of stealing approximately $26,000 while employed as a manager at a local restaurant makes an appearance in Rock County Court.
Jenna Poole waived her right to a preliminary hearing Monday morning on a single charge of theft in a business setting.
In May Janesville Police spoke with the area manager of the Denny’s on Milton Avenue who reported that they had confronted Poole on four separate occasions between November of 2023 and May of 2024 about cash missing from the deposits.
At one point Poole made an agreement to pay back the money by having $500 deducted from her paychecks, although she continued to steal from the business.
Poole made her initial appearance in Rock County Court Monday on a single charge of theft in a business setting, where Court Commissioner Jack Hoag gave her a signature bond.
Poole is due back in Rock county Court September 30th for her arraignment.
