Rock County Court Commissioner Jack Hoag denies a motion from a suspect in an OWI crash to have his bail reduced.

Joshua Amundrud is charged with operating while intoxicated causing injury, knowingly operating a motor vehicle while suspended, and seven counts of first-degree recklessly endangering safety.

According to the criminal complaint, a family of seven was in the yard of a home on the 900 block of Vernon Avenue in Beloit just after 4:30 the afternoon of April 26th.

Amundrud is accused of crashing his vehicle into the yard, striking one person. The victim suffered a broken leg. Six other people were lucky enough to flee the path of Amundrud’s oncoming vehicle.

Beloit Police say officers found empty banana vodka shots and a beer can in Amundrud’s rolled SUV.

Amundrud is currently being held in the Rock County Jail on a $2,000 cash bond.
