village-of-clinton

The Village of Clinton is looking to install filters on one of its two wells to help remove iron and manganese.

Public Works Director Roger Johnson says its been a problem for years.

The Village has submitted an application to the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources’ safe drinking water loan program to fund the project.

Johnson says the DNR is accepting public comments on the environmental impact of the project through September 24th.

Johnson says iron and manganese are not dangerous to consume but they do cause black and red stains on porcelain.
