47 percent of families in Jefferson and Northern Walworth County are experiencing what the United Way calls “diaper poverty.”
Executive Director Elizabeth Ellis-Bols says a one-day “Parent Perks” giveaway later this month should help.
The free event will run from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 12th at the Community Engagement Center in Whitewater.
Families can just show up to receive diapers, wipes, bottles, clothing, and other new and gently used children’s and baby items.
Donations will be accepted at Premier Bank through October 4th.
