A Beloit woman charged with starting a fire at the gas station where she was working takes a plea deal as part of a deferred prosecution program.
36-year-old Brandi Vazquez-Tello is accused of starting a fire on the baby-changing table inside one of the men’s bathroom stalls at the Beloit Kwik Trip on October 6th, 2023.
According to the criminal complaint, Vazquez-Tello has been a witness in several prior suspected arsons, and was a suspect in an arson initiated in a Mobil Gas Station bathroom where she worked at the time.
According to online court records, Vazquez-Tello plead guilty Friday to a single count of arson.
Judge Derrick Grubb withheld his finding of guilt, as long as Vazquez-Tello successfully completes a program.
