The USS Beloit officially enters U.S. Navy service on November 23rd.
Members of the public are invited to attend the commissioning ceremony for the littoral combat ship named after the City of Beloit at 10:00 a.m. at Veterans Park in Milwaukee.
USS Beloit Commissioning Committee PR Chair Sarah Lock says over $400,000 has been raised to support the cost of commissioning week activities and build a health legacy fund to serve the crew’s greatest needs.
The legacy fund has already funded needs like Internet hotspots to improve connectivity while the littoral combat ship is docked in Marinette.
Free tickets for the commissioning ceremony in Milwaukee will be available soon at ussbeloit.org
