The Rock County Medical Examiner’s Office is releasing the name of the 59-year-old Milton man who died last Saturday after falling from a boom truck at the Rock County Fairgrounds.

The Rock County Sheriff’s Office says two people were participating in a demonstration during Rock Energy Cooperative’s employee appreciation event when the bucket of the boom truck tilted about 10 feet in the air and dumped them out.

The medical examiner says Timothy Gillitzer was transported to a hospital where he died from injuries sustained in the accident. A woman was also injured.

According to his obituary Gillitzer was a graduate of Blackhawk Technical College’s first “lineman class”. He worked at Alliant Energy for 17 years as a line tech, and as a line foreman at Rock Energy Cooperative for the last 18 years.
