A 39-year-old Beloit woman is accused of stealing more than $15,000 in less than a week from the store where she was working.

Jennifer Bohland is charged in Rock County Court with a single count of theft in a business setting.

According to the criminal complaint the district Asset Protection Manager from Family Dollar in Beloit contacted police after noticing five bank deposits from October 10th through the 15th were missing.

Officers spoke with Bohland, who had been trusted to make the deposits, and learned that she took the money and used it to pay her bills.

Bohland made her initial appearance in Rock County Court this week where she was given a $1,000 signature bond and ordered not to work anywhere where she would handle money or customer’s personal information.
