Janesville teen scheduled for plea hearing in armed robbery case

One of two Janesville teenagers accused of robbing a woman walking her dog at gunpoint back in February is scheduled for a plea hearing.

18-year-old Ishmail Gill is charged in Rock County Court with armed robbery, receiving stolen property, and operating a vehicle without consent.

Janesville police say officers responded to a report of an armed robbery in the 3800 block of Creekside Drive.

The victim was able to get the license plate of the vehicle as it left the area. The vehicle, which turned out to have been stolen the day before, was located near Wright Road and Stuart Street.

Gill – who was 17 at the time, and a 15-year-old boy were apprehended after a short car chase.

Gill’s plea hearing is set for December 18th.
