While counting continues in some places, the votes in one bellwether Rock County township were in Tuesday night.
The town of Harmony has backed the winner in every presidential and gubernatorial race in Wisconsin since the year 2000. This year, former President Donald Trump carried the township — but it was close.
Trump won 886 votes, just nine more than Vice President Kamala Harris’ 877. Twenty-five votes went to third-party or write-in candidates. In the end, Trump carried Wisconsin as he did in 2016 on his way to winning the 2024 presidential race.
