scales-of-justice-3

A homeless man from Beloit makes his initial appearance in Rock County Court on charges of second-degree sexual assault, false imprisonment, substantial battery, and disorderly conduct.

According to the criminal complaint, 50-year-old Anthony Chancy Sr followed a woman home from a convenience store in the beginning of October and invited himself into her home.

Chancy refused to leave, and would beat and sexually assault the victim on almost a daily basis. He’s also accused of taking money from her paycheck.

The victim was eventually able to call 911 when Chancy stepped outside.

In Rock County Court Thursday afternoon, Court Commissioner Mason Braunschweig set cash bail at $75,000.

Chancy is due back in Rock County Court for his preliminary hearing on November 15th.
