The 39-year-old Beloit woman of stealing close to $100,00 from an elderly couple while working as their payee will remain free on a signature bond as her case makes its way through court.
Annabelle Strzyzykowski made her initial appearance in Rock County Court Monday afternoon on two counts of theft – special facts (Monday) afternoon.
Court Commissioner Jack Hoag set a $1,000 signature bond and ordered that Strzyzykowski have no contact with the victims or possess any money belonging to others.
Strzyzykowski was apparently working as a Rock County mental health caseworker at the time. The thefts came between November 2020 and May 2024.
The thefts came to light after some of the Rock Haven resident’s bills went unpaid. Court records say the Dane County and Rock County Adult Protective Services reported the thefts as a fraud case and a possible “financial exploitation.”
