The executive director of local non-profit, Community Action is recognized by the Beloit City Council.

In a unanimous vote this week, the city council approved a proclamation declaring Saturday Marc Perry Day, in honor of his selfless dedication to the community, his advocacy for equity, and his steadfast leadership in building a brighter future for Beloit.

According to the official proclamation, throughout his 18 years of dedicated service, Perry has been a tireless advocate for neighborhood resilience by leading youth programs and summer camps, marketing, grant writing, and building relationships before being appointed Executive Director of Community Action in 2020.

Perry says November 23rd has special meaning for him, as it would have been his mother’s 84th birthday.
