Beloit woman attempts to rob BMO Harris Bank

A 28-year-old Beloit woman is accused of trying to rob BMO Harris Bank.

According to the criminal complaint, just before 11:00 a.m. on November 14th Beloit Police were dispatched for a silent alarm at the financial institution on East Grand Avenue.

The suspect, later identified as McKayla Sanderson was found standing in the lobby of the bank, rocking back and forth.

A bank employee told police that Sanderson approached her, told her that she was being robbed, and asked for all of the money in the safe. The employee stalled Sanderson until police arrived.

Sanderson told police that she wanted to rob the bank because she didn’t have any money.

Sanderson remains free on a $1,000 signature bond.
