A Rock County Judge issues a bench warrant for a 21-year-old Janesville man after he fails to show up to court Wednesday to face a dozen child sex crime charges.
Rony Hernandez Morales is charged with repeated sexual assault of the same child, five counts of possession of child pornography, five counts of exposing a child to harmful material, and child enticement.
In March Court Commissioner Mason Braunshweig set Hernandez Morales’ cash bail at $100,000. At a hearing in September Judge Ashley Morse reduced the amount to $15,000.
Hernandez Morales posted the bail a few days later and hasn’t been back to court since.
According to the criminal complaint, in Hernandez Morales had sex with a 13-year-old who lived in his apartment building and exchanged explicit photographs with the teen, which he had saved on his phone.
