School District of Beloit voters are invited to a referendum sharing session.

School board President Tia Johnson says the goal of the sharing session is to collect public feedback on a prospective referendum. The meeting will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 16, at the Beloit Public Library.

Members of the school board 5-1 voted Dec. 3 to pursue a referendum question for the April 2025 ballot.

Since that vote, officials hosted a public workshop session to zero in on the most vital needs and what exactly to ask of voters.

District referendum questions have been voted down in each of the last two spring elections. District leaders say there remain operational and capital needs across the district that must be addressed to optimize student outcomes.
