A Janesville juvenile is in custody after making an online bomb threat that grabbed the attention of state law enforcement officials.
Janesville police say authorities arrested a 15-year-old on terrorist threats at about midnight this morning. They say the arrest came a couple hours after police got a tip Tuesday from the Wisconsin Statewide Intelligence Center.
The agency says the juvenile had posted a bomb threat on the social media site Snapchat.
Police say the threat mentioned a specific residence as the target.
Police call the bomb threat QUOTE “vague,” and they found no bomb-making supplies or other concerning materials at the juvenile’s residence. Police say there is no current known threat to the community.
The juvenile remains in custody at the Rock County Youth Services Center.
