You might notice some construction work at Parker High School after winter break.
Dave Leeder, the district’s senior facilities manager, says a recent wind event compromised part of the roof over the school’s main gym. Another smaller portion of roof over the east side of the building also was affected.
He says a temporary patch has been applied to the roof over the gym and that activities in the gym shouldn’t be affected. Bids for contractors and materials went out, and repairs are expected to begin in the first week of January, depending on the weather.
The work will cost the district $470,000.
