A group is launching a study an update to the five-year Transit Development Plan for communities in southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois. Beloit Transit System, Stateline Area Transportation Study, and the Stateline Mass Transit District are partnering with AECOM (A-E-COM) to lead the study. AECOM Project Manager Jim Meyer says the study is a strategic planning effort that looks at the current public transit system operation. It is designed to maximize the efficiency and effectiveness of transit services in the area. The public can learn more about the project and provide feedback by at two open houses next week. They take place February 11th at the Beloit Transit Transfer Center in Beloit and February 12th at the Nature at the Confluence in South Beloit.
