A new facility for the Boys & Girls Club of Janesville is inching closer to reality. CEO Rebecca Veium says the Janesville Foundation and the Kennedy Family foundation have each donated 300-thousand-dollars to the project, which will be matched by the Club. The new facility will be located at 925 South Jackson Street. Veium says there are many benefits to having this new facility, including expanded capacity, a fenced in playground and a teen center. She adds the new building will also have a commercial kitchen for serving dinner to the children before they head home. The Club has already raised over 75-percent of the 12-million-dollar cost of the project.
