Lip syncers will take the stage once again to benefit Project 16:49 later this month.

This year’s Lip Sync Battle fundraiser will start at 7 p.m. Saturday, March 15, at the Janesville Performing Arts Center. Tickets are available through JPAC’s website, janesvillepac.org, and cost $20.

Six groups will perform elaborate lip syncs of their favorite songs, complete with props and costumes. A panel of celebrity judges will pick their favorites, and audience members can donate to the teams to help them out.

There will also be raffles and concessions, including a cash bar.

Money raised will go toward Project 16:49, a Rock County nonprofit that helps unaccompanied, homeless teens learn how to be self-sufficient adults in the absence of adult role models. Project 16:49 runs transitional living homes for the teens it serves in Janesville and Beloit.
