Police are investigating a person they say was found shot in Stoughton.
Stoughton Police says officers were dispatched Monday around 1:21 pm to the 100 block of East Main Street for a male that had been shot.
Initial information indicates that the shooting didn’t take place at that location. The victim is being treated at the hospital.
The Stoughton Police Department is being assisted in the investigation by detectives with the Dane County Sheriff’s Office. The incident does not appear to be random, and there is no immediate threat to the public.
