In Evansville, residential lawns looked like golf ranges littered with little white spheres, and some rooftops looked a bit like Swiss cheese.

That is the early prognosis on a spring squall that rolled through Rock County Friday morning. The storm packed some much-needed rain, but in some western parts of the county, the storm dropped golf ball-sized hail.

Evansville residents have shared images with Big Radio from the hailstorm that show some nuggets of hail almost the size of baseballs.

Some of the images show car windows smashed and roofs with chunks of embedded hail that had punched through roofing.

The storm system that brought the rain and hail has swept out over the Great Lakes. But more stormy weather could be on the way later Friday. forecasts call for a high of 73 degrees today, with some possible thunderstorms developing in the afternoon or evening.

Look for clouds and sunshine with a high in the 60s on Saturday. And on Easter Sunday, cooler, with rain possible, high in the upper 40s.
