Rock County Jumpstart will host in-person training sessions to help entrepreneurs launch and grow their small businesses as part of the Lieutenant Governor’s Small Business Academy.
Sessions will be at the Beloit Public Library from 8 a.m. until noon on Friday, May 9.
The academy runs in conjunction with National Small Business Week and includes three days of virtual sessions from May 6-8 ahead of the in-person sessions in 11 locations statewide on May 9.
Rock County Jumpstart founder and Executive Director Genia Stevens says 2025 is the second year for in-person sessions in Beloit.
Registration is open at WEDC.org for entrepreneurs at any stage of running a business.
Stevens says she will lead a session on artificial intelligence. Other sessions will cover financial considerations, legal advice, certifications, how to navigate governmental regulations and more.
