The Janesville Fire Department is investigating the cause of an early morning commercial fire. Officials say firefighters were called to the RathGibson manufacturing plant in the 2500 block of Foster Avenue just after 4:00 a.m. Tuesday. The first to arrive found light smoke coming from the manufacturing area and flames shooting from a steel tube making machine. Officials say once the gas feed was shut-off, the fire was quickly extinguished. Damage was confined to the machine, and no one was injured.
