The City of Beloit is planning to sell to a 13-acre parcel of land for the Blackhawk Transport expansion. Economic Development Director Drew Pennington says an offer for BlackHawk to purchase the land in the Gateway Business Park for 65-thousand-dollars was approved last week by the Beloit City Council. He hopes to have the sale finalized by July 1st.
Blackhawk is proposing to construct its corporate offices and a truck service building at 2001 Gateway Boulevard. The company currently leases its space from CCI in Beloit. BlackHawk will receive a partial property tax rebate based on the amount of jobs they create.
