A Janesville man is accused of leaving his young son home alone.  Prosecutors say Janesville Police were called out May 2nd to an apartment in the 15-hundred block of Holiday Drive after a woman reported that 30-year-old Nicholas Robert Herriges had left their five-year-old son home alone.  She said she knew he had left because she had a GPS tracking device on his vehicle and that she Facetimed him and didn’t seen the child in the car.  The device showed Herriges went to Woodman’s earlier in the evening and an address on Swallow Lane where the woman claimed Nicholas had purchased crack from a drug dealer.  An officer made contact with Herriges in the parking lot of the home and determined he was high on a controlled substance.  The officer also spoke with his son, who said he believed his dad went to Woodman’s without him.  Herriges was arrested on charges of neglecting a child and resisting an officer.  His bond was sent at one-thousand-dollars.
