A 70-year-old Orfordville man is dead after a motorcycle crash southwest of Janesville.
A news release states deputies and the Janesville Fire Department responded to the intersection of South River Road and the ramp to the West Highway 11 bypass in the town of Rock a little before 9 p.m. Tuesday.
The report indicates the motorcyclist lost control and entered the west ditch.
The motorcycle rider, the bike’s lone occupant, was transported by ambulance to an area hospital and was later pronounced dead because of injuries suffered in the crash.
The Rock County Medical Examiner’s Office is expected to release the victims name after notification of next of kin.
