The Children’s Museum of Rock County announces its inaugural executive director will be Kent Anderson.
Officials with the children’s museum says the board of directors was impressed with Anderson’s prior experience co-leading a $27.5 million capital project during his tenure with the Boys & Girls Club in Wisconsin Rapids. A news release says the successful completion of this project in 2020 and the detailed insights he shared regarding its execution, demonstrate a strong alignment with the children’s museum’s development initiatives.
To date, more than $14.5 million has been raised for the children’s museum project.
The CMRC Foundation announced last month it has completed the purchase of 100 West Milwaukee street, the former First National and Chase Bank in downtown Janesville, and future home of the museum.
