A 25-year-old Beloit man appears in Rock County Court nine months after he’s accused of shooting up the doors at Craig High School and the Masonic Temple in Janesville in the middle of the night.
According to the criminal complaint, Dalton Talley was arrested in April after Rockford Police found him “driving on rims and crying.” Police found a gun in his vehicle which was forensically linked to the bullets used in the shooting at the Masonic Temple in August of 2024.
Talley was originally arrested last August after police found him driving in the area of the shooting at Craig in a vehicle matching surveillance footage. At that time he was held for a few days on $2,000 cash bond without being charged before being cut loose.
Talley made his initial appearance in Rock County Court Tuesday on charges of discharging a firearm in a school zone, possession of a firearm on grounds of a school, two counts of criminal damage to property with a dangerous weapon, and two counts of disorderly conduct with a dangerous weapon.
Court Commissioner Jodi Timmerman set cash bond at $2,500.
