A 3-year-old Janesville boy is safe after being found alone at the Westside Laundromat on Saturday night.

A criminal complaint says the boy was found unaccompanied at around 10 PM, wearing a soiled diaper and a dirty onesie without any shoes.

The boy’s mother was identified as 24-year-old Cisyliah Oliver, who was charged with one count of neglecting a child.

Police believe the child left through the window of Oliver’s apartment, which the boy’s grandmother says also happened once prior to this incident.

Upon entering Oliver’s apartment, officers found her sleeping, and she made no attempt to wake up or speak with the officers. When she woke up, Oliver stated she took sleeping medication and did not recall the initial encounter with police. Officers say that Oliver had a strong smell of alcohol on her breath. Oliver later admitted to having one drink at a party earlier in the day.
