The owner of a local chain of Culver’s restaurants wants to boost the drive-thru capacity at one of its Janesville locations.
The city of Janesville says in a plan commission memo that owner Scott Mallon seeks to convert a single lane drive-thru at the Culver’s at 2421 W. Court St.
The plan would be to build out a double-lane drive-thru that would allow an expansion in the queue from 14 vehicles to 18, with another spot for up to six vehicles to stack up in an adjacent waiting area.
Mallon recently did a similar drive-thru conversion at the Culver’s on Janesville’s Milton Avenue.
The West Court Street Culver’s store is in a busy retail area adjacent to a Taco Bell restaurant, a supermarket and a True Value Hardware store.
The plan commission hosts a public hearing on the plan Monday night.
