A 23-year-old Beloit woman is convicted of abduction of a child and abandonment of a child after her felony hold open agreement is revoked.

Neanni Bowman appeared before Rock County Judge Barbara McCrory Wednesday morning after being charged with possession of cocaine less than month after taking a plea deal in the child abduction case.

In December of 2024 Bowman and Kristopher Klein stole a vehicle in Janesville with a child inside. They abandoned the tot on the side of the road in freezing weather.

In March, Bowman plead guilty to abduction of a child and abandonment of a child and no contest to two counts of bail jumping and two counts of disorderly conduct.

Judge McCrory withheld her finding of guilty on the first two charges as part of a felony hold open agreement and sentenced Bowman to two years of probation and 90 days in the Rock County Jail.

Wednesday Judge McCrory revoked that felony hold open agreement.

She faces up to 15 years in prison at sentencing on August 29th.
