A 59-year-old Janesville man who molested a seven-year-old on multiple occasions will spend seven years behind bars.
Tracy Huenefeld was originally charged in Rock County Court with two counts of first-degree sexual assault of a child. He plead guilty in February to a lesser charge of child enticement, and Judge Ashley Morse dismissed the second child sexual assault charge.
According to the criminal complaint, Huenefeld has a history of hugging, poking, and tickling children in a way that makes them feel uncomfortable.
In an interview at the YWCA CARE House last February, a young girl disclosed that on multiple occasions Huenefeld would lure her to his lap with candy and then put his hands down the front of her pants.
In addition to the prison time, Judge Morse sentenced Huenefeld last week to four years of extended supervision. He must also register as a sex offender for 15 years.
