Interim Beloit Police Chief Thomas Stigler is looking forward to leading the department and maintaining the strong leadership established by his predecessor. Stigler would also like to continue implementing progressive community policing projects. He is taking over for former Police Chief Andre Sayles, who left last week after being named deputy chief of the Seattle Police Department. The veteran officer previously served as Beloit’s interim chief from September 2020 to April 2021 after former Chief Dave Zibolski left. Stigler is still deciding on whether he wants to apply to be the permanent police chief.
