A Beloit man accused of driving drunk with a truckload of kids will remain free while his case works its way through court.
36-year-old Ricardo Villalobos made an initial appearance in front of Rock County Court Commissioner Jack Hoag Monday afternoon on charges he operated a vehicle intoxicated with a child inside.
Hoag set a $1,000 signature bond for Villalobos, and ordered that he not drive a vehicle and maintain absolute sobriety.
Police say they stopped Villalobos for swerving near the Five Points intersection in Janesville on Sunday. Police say Villalobos had another adult in the vehicle along with five juveniles passengers, although so far he’s only been brought up on one count of driving drunk with kids in the vehicle.
