Janesville police think they’ve solved a whole string of burglaries. Lieutenant Keith Lawver says during the investigation, they compared notes with the Rock County Sheriff’s Office and noticed a pattern. Using fingerprints and DNA Lawver says they were able to track down a suspect. 38-year-old Misty L. Kvistad has been arrested on multiple charges of Burglary, Theft, and Burglary while Armed, as well as, Felon in Possession of a Firearm. Lawver says Kvistad’s method was simple. She’d simply knock on the door, and if no one answered, she’d break-in. He adds Kvistad told investigators she was using the gains from the burglaries to buy heroin.
