The annual Vets Roll trips heads out from Beloit early Sunday morning as it takes veterans out to Washington D.C.
Board President Mark Finnegan says they’re finally getting back to pre-Covid numbers on the trip, and this year they’re taking 220 vets out to the nation’s capitol, including four veterans from World War II.
Finnegan says this is also the first year they’ve gone into the Vietnam era in earnest, and they’re excited to honor and show appreciation to a group of veterans who deserve it.
The buses leave at 5:14am Sunday and Finnegan encourages folks to line the streets to send off the vets.
