Beloit seeking resident input on Turtle Creek park improvements

With a master plan that was started back in 2019, the Turtle Creek Park is ready to move on to its second phase.
Director of Parks and Rec Tonya Johann says phase two includes demolition of the bathhouse, construction of new restrooms, a kiosk, unity columns, and new picnic tables.
Johann says historically the park was a gathering place that was predominately used by the African-American community in the 1960s, and they want to include features to document the past history of the park.
A community feedback session will be held Wednesday at 4pm at Turtle Creek Park.
