Rock Aqua Jays cancel practices due to high water

High water on the Rock River forces the Rock Aqua Jays to cancel their practices.
The U.S. Geological Survey Gauge at Afton is currently over nine feet, which is minor flood stage.
Water ski show team president Tim Cullen says the team does get a variance from the Rock County Sheriff’s Office slow-no-wake order, but the river will still have to drop a couple feet before they can practice again.
Cullen says it’s been a bit of bad luck. The first show of the season was canceled due to bad weather. The second show went on without a hitch, but the subsequent shows have been held hostage by rising waters.
Cullen says they will likely have to cancel the show this Sunday too.
