A 31-year-old Janesville man, accused of delivering the heroin which resulted in the death of another man, has decided to make a plea deal. David Nevel was originally charged with First Degree Reckless Homicide/Delivery of Drugs. Nevel waived his right to a jury trail in Rock County Court Thursday morning, and agreed to plead to a lesser charge. A plea hearing is being planned in January to give Nevel time to complete a treatment program at Mercy Health System. The maximum sentence for the Delivery of Heroin charge is 15-years.
