A local community is reaching out to housing developers. Edgerton City Administrator Ramona Flanigan says the inventory of single family residential lots is depleted. Flanigan admits the low number is concerning. She says at the beginning of the economic downturn, more than 100 were available. Over the last eight years, developers have only created 12 new lots. Now roughly 20 are available. She says the shortage limits their ability to attract new residents. Staff has been working diligently with any developer inquiries to meet any needs possible.
