About 30 kids and 20 seniors will have to find somewhere else to go after Community Action of Rock and Walworth Counties discontinues the programs it runs out of Merrill Community Center.
Executive Director Marc Perry says the youth after school and summer programs and senior programming they provided are available through other agencies in the stateline area.
Perry says Community Action will work closely with families and community partners to ensure that those who have come to rely on Merrill Community Center for programming have healthy alternatives and will not fall through the cracks.
Perry says Community Action plans to keep the building an re-purpose it for some of its other programs.
