A young girl may be sleeping better at night now that both the adult brother who raped her, and the father who knew about the assaults and did nothing are behind bars.

55-year-old Christopher H. L Senecal plead guilty in May to a single count of failure to act in a child sexual assault.

According to the criminal complaint, Senecal was warned multiple times that his 26-year-old son also named Christopher Senecal was sexually assaulting his young sister. Senecal Sr. failed to take action and even allowed the younger Senecal to move in with them when there was an open child sexual assault investigation in Walworth County.

On Friday Rock County Judge Karl Hanson sentenced Senecal Sr. to five years in prison and five years of extended supervision.

Christopher Senecal Junior is serving a 30 year prison sentence on a child pornography conviction and has open child sexual assault charges in Walworth County.
