The Evansville Fire District celebrate its 150th anniversary.
Chief Bob Fahey says the Evansville Fire Department was founded in 1874 after a fire at a prominent dentist’s house.
The community is invited to celebrate with the Evansville Fire District on Saturday. There will be a parade at 11:00 a.m. followed by other activities at the Fire Station from noon until 4:00 p.m.
Other activities include bounce houses, splash pad, kids maze, fire station and fire truck tours, a live fire demonstration, and free food and refreshments.
